5 things you should never forget while travelling

5 things you should never forget while travelling5 things you should never forget while travelling5 things you should never forget while travelling

As St. Augustine has rightly pointed out, “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page !” There is no joy such as exploring regions,  people and cultures different from your own. There is no such pleasure as the one derived from witnessing the fabulous creations of nature, her beautiful and breathtaking landscapes. With technology now ever-so advanced, the world has become small and travelling has become much easier. What with international calling being such an inexpensive affair, you no longer have to worry about staying in touch whilst travelling. Especially if you are a solo traveller, folks back home always have a reason to worry. With so many calling options now open to you like phone cards, VoIP etc, staying in touch is one less thing to worry about.

There are a few essentials to follow when you are globe-trotting. Some of us like to travel light and some like to carry their entire home with them. It is always a great idea to travel light so you can be comfortable and at ease. However light though, here is a list of certain things you MUST NEVER forget. The most important are your Travel Documents. For overseas, you need at least a passport, your flight tickets and visa, if needed. Local trips would only include tickets for your transportation either by plane or train. It is always a good idea to carry your driving license or ID and copies of travel insurance. When getting international travel insurance, you must choose a plan that includes health on the coverage

Money matters matter ! You need to have some cash and ATM, debit or international credit cards whenever you spend a vacation overseas or within the country. Never forget to carry some handy cash. If you are one of those ‘perfect planners’ then it is good to have some planning of the amount of money you intend to spend on the trip.  Manage your money wisely.

As far as clothes are concerned, you must know how many and what types of clothes to pack into your suitcase. Those depend on where you are going, what activities you are planning and how long the vacation is. Apart from a few comfy clothes, carrying a swim suit, and a comfortable pair of sleepers is highly recommended.  If you are in for sporty activities, appropriate sports gear must top your list. Place comfort over fashion and you will not regret it.

It is obvious that you plan to take your camera along with you, but also do not forget to carry the extra memory for camera. Make sure you have packed the camera charger and also plug converter in case of international travel. Laptops, iPads, mobile phones and MP3 players are also items you would like to bring to your holiday destination. Most vacationers find these things important during a vacation. If you bring battery-operated devices, you have to bring extra batteries and chargers or cables as well.

And last but not the least, First Aid. There is no harm in carrying a first aid kit for just in case, especially if you are travelling with kids.  You can now climb the mountain and go for a bike race without worrying. With all your essentials now in place, you are ready to turn another page of your book!
