No matter what kind of holidaymaker you are, you’ll be able to find a place to spend your holidays in Spain as it’s such a beautiful country full of varied landscapes.
Each resort area has something special to offer the visitor, but the place that draws the most people must be the stretch of coastline along the Mediterranean. Millions of tourists head for the Costa Blanca and the Costa del Sol every year, seeking the sunshine, the beautiful beaches and lovely blue sea all along the coastline.
Here you’ll find hotels of all sorts and sizes, from one star to five star, as well as plenty of self-catering accommodation for those who prefer a little bit more space to themselves.
You’ll also find plenty of water sports and other activities to do while you’re on holiday on the coast. The Costa Blanca has some great climbing routes where you can have spectacular views out to sea as you climb. And amongst the high rise hotels you’ll find the hearts of each resort and the old towns they originated from interesting places to explore.
There are flights aplenty to different airports along the Spanish Mediterranean coast. And with the number of budget airlines flying to the region, you could even make it a two centre break by flying into one airport and out of another. You can get flights from East Midlands to Murcia or Malaga, for example, and then book flights from Alicante to East Midlands for the homeward journey.
However, it’s not all about the beach. You can take advantage of the cheap flights to one of the coastal airports but then head inland to explore the dramatic Spanish countryside. Whether you like an active holiday where you’re on the move all the time or you just want to spend the whole time lying by the hotel pool, the Spanish costas have all that you need for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday!
Before you book your trip, do some research into what kind of holiday you’re looking for and then choose the resort that suits you the most. The great thing about a Spanish holiday is that it’s so easy and cheap to get there that you can always go back for more!
