1. Horseshoe Falls
Horseshoes falls is one of the pinnacles of Canadian history. More commonly known as Niagara Falls, this waterfall is over 209.7 km squared tall. This makes it one of the, if not the, biggest waterfall mankind has seen with it’s own two eyes. You can also board a ship that brings you incredibly close to the bottom of the waterfall, which is always exhilarating. You get a chance to ride on the waters and feel the mist touch your face.
2. Visit the CN Tower
The CN Tower is another one of Canada’s great feats. It’s one of the tallest buildings known to man kind, it stands 553.3 metres high, and is maily used for observation and communications. It was completed in 1976, and at the time was the world’s tallest tower, as well as the worlds largest free stanging structure. The CN Tower has an elevator that brings you to the top, but the kicker is that it’s got a glass floor! Not for the faint of heart, that’s for sure.
3. Clifton Hill
Clifton Hill is the street on the edge of the Niagara Falls. It is jam packed with attractions, from wax museums to massive arcade game playhouses. There are also many casinos and live shows that are put on around Clifton Hill, during the summer it is one of the most lively spots in Ontario. They’ve even got indoor sky diving if that tickles your fancy! Clifton Hill is the expectation when you go to visit a place like Niagara.
4. White Water Rafting in Vancouver
Vancouver offers a lot to do when you are visiting, but the funnest by far would have to be white water rafting. There are different levels of runs that are categorized by colours, and you should always go with a guide and know what you’re getting into. White water rafting is pretty much challenging the current of a flowing lake, and sometimes they get vicious. People have been known to go out camping and take a crack at white water rafting, only to catch the edge of a water fall or even drown! It’s advenurous, but like anything else it is still dangerous.
5. Base Jumping in BC
British Columbia is known for it’s immense amount of mountains, and they are absolutely huge. These days people like the push the limit, so what’s the next logical step? Leaping off of the mountains. With parachutes of course. People have been seeking adventure to the point where they take it upon themselves to literally leap off of the top of cliff faces and parachute into the wilderness below.
